Dylan O’Brien Lands Leading Role In ‘The Maze Runner’

Yup, Dylan once again has landed a leading role in the upcoming The Maze Runner which is a movie adaptation of the hit YA book trilogy that carries the same name. Dylan will play Thomas. Continue reading…

*Sigh* They grow up so fast! Our very own Dylan O’Brien of “Teen Wolf” is about to take Hollywood by storm, ladies and Gs. This morning, Deadline confirmed that the actor behind Stiles Stilinski (and part-time James Dean lookalike) landed the starring role of Thomas in the movie adaptation of the hit YA book trilogy, “The Maze Runner.” So much for being typecast as the best friend!

For those not familiar with the upcoming blockbuster franchise, it’s a “Hunger Games”-style dystopian sci-fi saga, in which a group of teenagers wakes up in a maze, with no recollection of how they got there, or where they came from. The film is being penned by former “Buried Life” Executive Producer Noah Oppenheim (keepin’ it in the family!) and also stars British “Skins” alum, Kayla Scodelario (kinda keepin’ it in the family!) as Thomas’ best friend and the sole girl in the maze.

We’re sorry to report that you’ll have to wait almost a year for the film’s release — Valentine’s Day 2014 — but at least you’ve got a whole season of “Teen Wolf” to chew on while you wait for Dylan’s big-screen debut! June 3: Be there.

‘Teen Wolf’s’ Daniel Sharman, joins Hallmark’s ‘When Calls the Heart’ film, TV show

Teen Wolf actor Daniel Sharman joins a new Hallmark project called When Calls the Heart, based off of Janette Oke’s novel of the same name.

According to a Hallmark press release, via The Futon Critic, When Calls the Heart will debut first as a two hour film, acting as a pilot for the television show that will follow. The film will premiere on October 5, and the show will begin with 10 episodes in January 2014.

The movie has an all star cast that, aside from Sharman and Amell, also includes Maggie Grace (Taken 2), Jean Smart (Designing Women), Lori Loughlin (90210), and Poppy Drayton. Smart is a three-time Emmy award winner. The film is written and directed by Michael Landon Jr.

This is the second original Hallmark series based off of Oke’s work, the first being Love Comes Softly, which was met with a great deal of success and is one of the reasons why Hallmark was looking into doing another series based off of one of Oke’s novels. Synopsis;

When Calls the Heart is the story of Elizabeth Thatcher (Drayton), a young teacher accustomed to her high society life, who receives her first classroom post in a prairie town in the Western Frontier lead by headstrong coalminer widows Abigail (Loughlin) and Frances (Smart). She is determined to prove to her family that she is brave enough to live on her own, but struggles with her own fears and doubts. When she discovers her late Aunt Elizabeth’s (Grace) secret diary, Elizabeth learns she was a pioneer woman herself, a teacher in the frontier who struggled with prairie life and fell in love with a Royal Canadian Mountie (Amell). Inspired by her aunt’s hopeful words and unfaltering determination, Elizabeth decides to embark on her own adventure, using the diary as her guide and family friend Edward, another Mountie (Sharman), as her support.

New Girl Exclusive: Could Teen Wolf’s Dylan O’Brien Be Jess’ First?

New Girl‘s Jess may have lost her virginity to a Teen Wolf star!

Dylan O’Brien, who portrays non-supernatural Stiles on the MTV series, is set to guest-star on an upcoming episode of New Girl, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

As creator Liz Meriwether revealed at Monday’s PaleyFest, a flashback episode slated to air in late April will feature the stories of how each of the New Girl gang lost their virginity. In that episode, O’Brien will play Jess’ (Zooey Deschanel) prom date, a gorgeous, romantic, guitar-playing 18-year-old who promises a memorable “first time” for Jess, who wants to lose her virginity to someone special. But will he be able to actually seal the deal?

Colton Haynes @ Arrow: Will he become a regular castmember?

What will happen when Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) returns to the show?
One of the bigger storylines we have coming up for him is his introduction to the Arrow, and them crossing paths for the first time. That’ll be exciting.

Another recent popular addition to the series in recent times was Colton Haynes as Roy Harper. Will we be seeing more of him?
Yes. Episode 18 is the next episode you’ll see him in. Colton is wonderful, and his scenes with Thea are just terrific. Willa and Colton, on screen together, is a lot of fun, and they’re fun to write.

Is there any chance we could be seeing Colton Haynes as a series regular for Season 2?
I hope so, [but] it’s pilot season. That’s the thing, so a lot of it depends on stuff that’s out of our control at the moment. But, look. We love Colton. We would love for him to be on the show as much as he wants to be on the show.

Dylan O’brien talks ‘The Internship’

TEEN WOLF The MTV series is shooting season 3 in Los Angeles and I stopped by the set this week to chat up fan favorite Dylan O’Brien, who was definitely not slacking off during his hiatus. Instead, he was working on a big screen comedy with some very big box office names.
In The Internship, “Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughan are guys in their 40s, middle-aged salesmen, who lose their jobs, the company goes under, and they have to reinvent themselves in the new world of technology,” he told me. “They sign up to be interns at Google…and it’s a disaster because they’re a part of intern week and the interns are grouped into teams and compete against each other and the winning team gets jobs at Google.”
But like Stiles on Teen Wolf, O’Brien’s character isn’t one of the cool kids: “We’re kind of the ‘Bad News Bears’ who get slumped together,” he said with a smile. “Our team sucks and we have Owen and Vince, who don’t know anything. Then the rest of us are just the outcasts. There’s a reason why we’re not in any other group.”
The Internship also features familiar TV faces like Rose Byrne (Damages) and Jessica Szohr (Gossip Girl) and is set to hit screens on June 7. (More Teen Wolf chats coming closer to the premiere later this year)

Scoop: What’s next for Derek Hale?

Holly: Any scoop on what’s coming up for Derek on Teen Wolf?
When the MTV hit series returns for its third season Derek will be getting…a love interest! And no Sterek fans, it’s not Stiles. And it’s also not Erica, whom Teen Wolf fans will not be seeing at all in season three, but a new lady in Beacon Hills.

Stephen Lunsford as Teo on “Switched at Birth”

I, personally, am very happy that I found this, because yes, Stephen Lunsford, who played Matt Daehler on Teen Wolf landed a recurring role as Teo on Switched at Birth;

TVLINE | When I interviewed [creator] Lizzy Weiss, she mentioned a new character in Bay and Daphne’s world.
There’s a character named Teo [played by Stephen Lunsford], and there’s a character named Noah [Max Lloyd-Jones]. They’re both hearing kids at the deaf school. They’re both boys, so… Bay and Daphne love their boys. [Laughs]

Teen Wolf’s Colton Haynes Joins Arrow As… Roy Harper!!!!

It is confirmed! Colton Haynes (Jackson) joins the cast of Arrow as Roy Harper! His role will be recurring;

TV Guide Magazine posted some exciting news tonight: Well, before that we’ll have to admit being a little wrong… thinking the guy in the new screen captures for “Year’s End” might be Roy Harper… because he’s not!

TV Guide Magazine instead has revealed that Roy Harper is coming, but he’ll be played by popular Teen Wolf actor Colton Haynes in what will be a recurring role. As expected, Roy will be a love interest for Willa Holland’s Thea, and that they will cross paths in “an unexpected way.” TVGM also states that Roy is “destined to become a significant part of her life and an important player in the larger world of Arrow.” He’s also described as a handsome, street-savvy teenager from the Glades area of Starling City.

UPDATE: THR is saying that Haynes will make his first Arrow appearance in the February 20, 2013 episode, which is called “Dodger.”
